Description

The Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 was introduced in 1973 as the successor in the Dino lineup and marked a clear departure from the design language previously used on the smaller V6 models. It was the first production Ferrari to feature a mid-mounted eight-cylinder engine combined with a four-seat configuration, giving it a unique position within the Ferrari lineup, which at that time was still dominated by cars with a more classic, Pininfarina-designed aesthetic.

The body of the Dino 308 GT4 was designed by Bertone under the direction of Marcello Gandini. This was notable, as Ferrari typically collaborated with Pininfarina on its road cars. The angular, functional design was in line with 1970s trends and made the Dino 308 GT4 visually distinct from its contemporaries. By 1975, the model had become a staple in Ferrari’s lineup, with the “Dino” designation signifying its position as a separate line within the brand.

Production of the Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 was limited to 2,826 units, contributing to its rarity within Ferrari’s history. The combination of a mid-engine layout, four seats, and a Bertone design gives the Dino 308 GT4 a unique place in Ferrari’s development during the 1970s.

The 1975 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 features a 2+2 seating configuration and a compact mid-engine layout, offering a practical variant within the sports car segment. The car is in running condition, with a generally neat exterior and an original interior.

This model is considered fairly unique due to its limited production run and specific features. It was Ferrari’s first production car with a mid-mounted V8 engine and four seats, making it both technically and historically significant. The Bertone body style makes it instantly recognizable, with a design that deviates from the more typical Ferrari style of the 1970s.

The 1975 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 is a rare and historically important model, with a production run of 2,826 units, a Bertone body, and a notable place in Ferrari’s development during the 1970s. The vehicle is in running condition, with a neat exterior and an original interior. Viewing is recommended to get a full impression of the car.
