Description

Every few decades, the stables of Maranello release an underrated, technologically significant car that introduces important changes to the entire Ferrari model lineup. In the 2000’s, this was the case with the F430, an important car that heralded a new era for the brand.

Sharing the same Alcoa aluminum frame as the prior Ferrari 360, the F430 was improved with better aerodynamics and a hefty, almost 100hp boost from its predecessor. So far, this is what was expected of a new release. While Ferrari had been working with V8’s inherited from the Dino project of the 1960’s, the F430 introduced a brand new engine family, co-developed with Maserati, the F136. It was the dawn of a new era for the Italian car industry, and the end of the manual gearbox in Ferrari models: the F430 was the very last V8 with a three-pedal option.

The ‘Scuderia’ coupe and ‘Scuderia 16M’ convertible models where the street performance version for the F430, made in limited numbers (between 1,500 and 3,000 built), and utilizing Ferrari’s racing technology. Numerous changes helped increase performance past the 500hp barrier, reduce weight by 100kg, and improve shifting speed thanks to a revision of the gearbox software. Engine intake, exhaust and timing were revised to optimize efficiency and squeeze every available horse our of the lineup’s new engine.

This particular consignment car, a Gulf-specification F430 Scuderia, has covered just over 21,000 kilometres and comes with two keys, manuals, tools, and Ferrari dealer service records.
