Originally from the sunny climate of the United States, this vehicle features a 1.8-liter engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It has a beige fabric soft top in good condition and new stainless steel bumpers. The interior includes a wooden steering wheel by MOMO and Abarth Classic wheels. History and Documentation
The design of the 124 Sport Spider has Dutch roots, thanks to renowned Dutch designer Tom Tjaarda, who was employed by Pininfarina at the time. The design is based on Tjaarda’s earlier concept for the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which was not produced due to European influences. Fiat showed interest in this design, leading to the creation of the Sport Spider, introduced six months after the four-door Fiat 124 in 1967. Over the years, the exterior was slightly modified, and engines were upgraded, culminating in the CS1 model with a 1.8-liter engine, sold exclusively in the United States.
This particular example was manufactured in 1978 and imported to the Netherlands in 1999 from a favorable U.S. climate. Extensive documentation is available since 1999, including invoices and appraisal reports. A Dutch-language parts catalog is also included. The chassis number is 124CS10136873.
Exterior
The design remains timeless and beautiful. The dark blue paint (Blu Scuro, color code 449) pairs well with the beige interior and soft top. The hood features characteristic bumps, and the Pininfarina emblem is prominently displayed. Both bumpers were replaced in 2026 with stainless steel units, costing over €1,000. The paint has a deep shine with only minor signs of wear. Rubber trim and chrome accents are in pristine condition. The lighting system has been partially replaced, including turn signals. The car is fitted with 13-inch 4-spoke Abarth CD30 Style Classic alloy wheels. The beige fabric soft top is in good condition with no tears. The body is very solid, thanks to the dry U.S. climate.
Interior
The interior features beige leather upholstery, showing some signs of wear but overall in good condition. The steering wheel has been replaced with a wooden MOMO California-style model valued at nearly €500. The dashboard includes a comprehensive instrument panel with gauges such as oil pressure, temperature, voltmeter, and tachometer. The interior also has heating and a radio/cassette player. The rear seat allows four people to enjoy open-air driving.

The engine bay is dry and clean, housing a 1,756 cc 4-cylinder engine with code 132A1*031*6, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with Michelin tires in good condition, with ample tread remaining. Its light weight of 960 kg and rear-wheel drive make it a joy to drive. The vehicle has been well maintained, and it drives, shifts, and brakes smoothly.

The Fiat Sport Spider 124 was produced from 1966 to 1985 and was one of the most popular sports cars of its era. It was praised for its performance, comfortable ride, and attractive appearance. Initially powered by an 89 hp 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the model underwent continuous development and upgrades over the years.
