The Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino was the largest European car manufacturer in the 1950s, right behind the three largest American car builders from Detroit. This success was mainly due to the production of affordable family cars. Yet there was always a sportier line-up, stylish convertibles were built and there was even an active racing program at Fiat. The so-called 118 series was created through a collaboration with PininFarina. A chassis and body specifically designed for the coupe and convertible were equipped with engines from the family sedans with 1300cc and 1500cc. PininFarina not only designed the design, they also built the 1300 and 1500 convertible. Almost without exception, the famous designer's involvement was a guarantee of success. The convertible was appreciated by friend and foe for its stylish, charming and sporty lines. Details such as the beautiful dashboard with its two large clocks behind the steering wheel were seen in Italian sports cars that had to fetch a lot of money at that time. After all, they came from the same drawing boards. This Fiat 1500 offers you movie star looks for a modest price. Step into this 'time machine' and experience the romance of the fifties and sixties, when a car was still an exuberant leap to freedom. Driving pleasure, especially open of course, in the purest sense with a fantastic experience. La dolce vita!
