1967 Fiat 500 F Nuova

This beautifully restored Fiat 500 F features a stunning blue color and black vinyl interior. It has a convertible top and is in excellent condition.

The Fiat 500 is undoubtedly Italy’s most successful car. Designed to be light, simple, and affordable, it was created to provide practical transportation for the Italian people. Its modest features and straightforward mechanics make it inexpensive to operate and easy to maintain. Ideal for navigating narrow city streets, it also offers a surprisingly usable backseat.

This particular car was first registered on January 1, 1968, and has been fully restored. It was imported from Italy in 2026.

The exterior is finished in a beautiful lavender blue. Thanks to the folding roof, you can enjoy the sun. The bodywork features excellent fit and finish on the doors, hood, trunk lid, fenders, and grille. The paint, windows, lights, chrome trim, and rubber seals are all in very good condition. The car has a distinctive 1960s look: compact, rounded, and functional, with no superfluous details. The front features small round headlights and a simple chrome grille, while the short hood and flared fenders give it a friendly appearance. The F model has outward-hinged doors and narrow bumpers.

The interior is simple and functional. The dashboard is minimalist, with only a speedometer and indicator lights. Everything is clearly laid out and free of unnecessary frills. The seats are narrow and upright, upholstered in black skai (faux leather) with white piping, reflecting typical 1960s style and easy to keep clean. The floor is covered with black mats with blue accents. The steering wheel has been replaced with a thicker, more comfortable model. The backseat is small but practical for short trips or extra luggage. All controls are fully mechanical. The front compartment houses the spare tire. The interior is in excellent condition.

Under the hood, the 499cc 2-cylinder engine is in immaculate condition. The engineering is simple: rear-wheel drive, torsion bar front suspension, and a compact rear axle with the engine positioned directly above the drivetrain. Cooling is entirely air-cooled, eliminating the need for a radiator or water pump. Braking is via drum brakes all around, without power assistance, typical for this era. Maintenance is straightforward, with many parts easily accessible and designed for simple replacement. The tires are in very good condition, and the car drives well.

The Fiat 500 F is an iconic small car in Italian automotive history. Built from 1965 to 1972, it succeeded the Fiat 500 D and earlier Nuova 500 models. With its 499 cc two-cylinder air-cooled engine producing about 18 horsepower, it was designed as an affordable, efficient city car. The 500 F features outward-hinged doors, a safer design compared to the "suicide doors" of the D, and a slightly more refined interior while maintaining the original simplicity.
