The Dino is a car produced by FIAT sport between 1966 and 1972.
The context
The Dino was born from an agreement between Fiat and Ferrari, signed for the need of the Maranello company to quickly build a sufficient number of Dino engines (so called because they derived from a project of 1956dello disappeared son of Enzo Ferrari, Alfredo, said Dino) to obtain approval in Formula 2 Ferrari Dino 166 F2. So, next to the most expensive Dino 206 GT, it was the deliberate production of more affordable (though still expensive) versions brand FIAT. In fact, the technical sharing between the "Dino" Ferrari and the Fiat was limited to the V6 engine.
The Dino 206 GT were not marketed under the brand Ferrari, but with Dino trademark without written or Ferrari on the engines or on the hoods and without the prancing horse, which were reserved for the Ferrari 12-cylinder.
