Description

Up for sale is an original 1964 Ford F250 Camper Special Custom Cab. This is a dry West Coast truck with highly desirable, solid sheet metal—the perfect foundation for a high-quality restoration or a reliable vintage hauler.
What Makes This Truck Special:
Service Records Available: Comes with historical service paperwork.
Bulletproof Drivetrain Setup: Equipped with a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission featuring a "Granny Low" 1st gear. It acts as a massive-torque stump puller in low gear, shifting like a standard 3-speed for normal driving.
Last Year of the Y-Block: Powered by its factory 292 cubic-inch Y-Block V8. 1964 was the absolute final year Ford put this legendary engine family into American pickups, making it a true milestone truck.
Classic Factory Colorway: Wearing its iconic, original two-tone Caribbean Turquoise and Wimbledon White color combination. The interior features the correct Caribbean Turquoise steel dash with the original chrome "Custom Cab" scripting intact.
Factory Camper Special Package: Built to meet the 1960s slide-in camper boom, this package features a heavy-duty alternator, a larger radiator, extra wiring harnesses, and an upgraded heavy-duty suspension setup built to handle extra weight.
Original California Truck: Because it spent its life in California, it lacks the terminal structural rust that ruins most 1961–1966 F-Series trucks. The cab corners and steps, and cab mounts are in incredibly solid condition compared to Rust Belt examples. The floor pans will require some work.
Condition & Mechanicals:Engine: It runs! The 292 V8 fires up, but it will need a standard tune up.
Brakes: The brake components at the wheels and master cylinder are all good, but the metal lines running under the truck are rusted out. Because the lines need replacement, this truck cannot be driven home and has no stopping power.
Trim & Brightwork: Some exterior trim pieces are currently uninstalled, but some of the loose original trim is included with the sale.
Hauling/Transport: It must be winched or trailered away. There is easy, wide-open access where it is currently parked for a flatbed or a large truck and trailer setup to load it without hassle. I am more than happy to coordinate with your independent transport driver or shipping company if you are buying from out of state.
