Description

“Almost ready to race”
1965 Ford Falcon Futura
95% finished
Carrera Panamericana or Historic Rally / Race
Over Euro 140K invested

It is hard to believe that in 1965 the Ford Falcon was the smallest car that Ford USA could sell to you. And obviously nobody would have ever predicted that it would become such a serious contender in Saloon car racing and rallying in Europe and beyond. When Bjo Ljungfeldt came second overall in the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, Saloon car teams all over Europe realized that a 289ci V8 and the featherweight Falcon body could be very competitive on the racetrack too.

The car on sale has been prepared in 2014 and 2015 for participation in the Carrera Panamericana by Hammer Performance and American Muscle Motorsport of Germany and was near to completion when the project was stopped due to health reasons. Work started with a rust-free dry state Ford Falcon and over Euro 140K was spent in the recreation of this epic Rally car.
