This car has been sitting unused in a garage for the last 15 years, was in unrestored condition and should have been sold as a restoration project. However, due to the Corona pandemic and the mandatory lock down by the government, full restoration work is going on in our restoration shop. The car is already ready to drive, the engine starts easily and runs very well, the transmission shifts perfectly, the power steering works well and the brakes also already work. At the moment the complete roof mechanism has just been overhauled electrically and mechanically. We wait for a new main drive motor for raising and lowering the top. This is on its way from the USA.
The paint on the car is good and does not need to be replaced. The complete underbody of the car is is very good shape and is very solid! The engine bay and the engine are fully detailed and painted in the correct factory colors.
We were very lucky to find a complete new set of original multicolored door- and quarter-panels with the correct chrome mylar inserts after a two year search. This came along with a correct brand new molded carpet set with attached heel pad to cover the floor. All rubber seals for doors, windows and the foldable steel top on the vehicle were still available brand new and arrived already in our shop.

This particularly rare and impressive Ford model, which was awarded a medal as "The World's Most Beautifully Proportioned Car" on the occasion of the 1958 World's Fair in Brussels, is of interest to both collectors and investors, as it has particularly exceptional engineering and was built in a very small number of only 12,915 units.
The beautiful convertible which originally came from Texas and really presents itself in extremely appealing styling can be inspected in our US-Car Center in Klein-Pöchlarn and can be viewed by prior appointment by telephone during our business hours from Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 a.m. and from 14:00 to 18:00 p.m.
