Here is your chance to own the car that started the entire “pony class”. This 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang coupe has a 289 cu in (4.7 L) V8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor and Hi-Po exhaust. This strong running engine is mated to a 3 speed Ford C4 Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission which was rebuilt in 2023 and shifts smoothly. A new starter and flexplate were installed when the transmission was refurbished. The generator, used only in 1964 1/2 Mustangs, has been replaced with a Powermaster alternator in a generator housing which keeps the look original while providing more reliability. Magnaflow mufflers produce a nice exhaust note that isn’t overly aggressive or obnoxiously loud inside the car.

Drum brakes are on all four corners with the rear brakes being redone in 2023. Power brakes with booster have been installed to help add a little stopping power.

This Mustang sits on style steel GT wheels and Kingstar Centum SK72 white striped tires with 10/32 tread depth remaining on all four.

The car has just had a paint correction/respray to a custom version of Guardsman blue with larger metal flake. This car really shines in the sunlight and will turn heads.
The matching blue interior is fresh and free of any rips or tears. Classic Auto Air aftermarket air conditioning is installed and working. The radio does NOT work.

The odometer reads 89,600 miles with roughly 5,000 miles put on the car since it was fully restored. This is a rust free example that has been garage kept at all times since restoration. Extensive receipts and documentation of all work done on the car is included with the vehicle. This Mustang is well sorted and drives nicely. It is a great cruiser and show car.
