This is a beautiful and especially very rare Ford Mustang Convertible from the first series. The car was built in Dearborn Michigan and equipped with the 260 Cubic Inch V8 engine which in this case is mated to a manual transmission. Connoisseurs then already know that this is a so-called 1964.5 Mustang. The car has been restored and technically overhauled in the past and is still in good condition. The body looks very good. The sheet metal is everywhere nice and thin and fits well. The black paint is then well painted and still looks neat. The paint has some traces of use here and there but nothing that does not fit the age of the car. The convertible top is easy to operate and is in good condition. The hood fits everywhere nicely. The car stands on original steel wheels with original hubcaps. The chrome bumpers are also in good condition and fit beautifully. The interior is covered with original looking red vinyl on the seats and red colored carpets. The interior is a wonderful contrast against the black exterior and is a very nice overall look thanks to the white vinyl convertible top. The instruments and controls all look neatly cared for and are in good condition. For those days when you can drive fully up, there is a tonneau cover available in the same color as the upholstery. The technology has already been completely overhauled once and is in very good condition. The 260 Cubic Inch V8 engine produces 210 horsepower and in this case is mated to the three-speed manual transmission. The car is a joy to drive. The Mustang Convertible does exactly what you expect; provide a wonderfully relaxed and quintessentially American driving experience. The engine is wonderfully relaxed to drive and thanks to the great torque, it is also no problem to drive the car with a gear change. The gearbox can be controlled precisely and contributes greatly to the driving pleasure. The chassis and brakes are also well maintained and function as they should. In short, not only a beautifully cared for Ford Mustang Convertible but above all a very rare car from the beloved 1964.5 model year. That this example is still equipped with the three-speed manual transmission is the icing on the cake.
