Description

“All you need is an open road, low gears, high revs, and a V8 Mustang.” – Ken Miles

And with this particular example, that statement seems truer than ever. If Ken Miles had seen this Mustang, he would have undoubtedly said it was made for him.

What once started as a neat 1965 Mustang Fastback has now evolved into something entirely different. No longer just a classic pony car, but more like a grizzly bear on steroids. A Fastback rebuilt from the ground up to absolute perfection.

The story begins in Belgium, where the previous owner purchased the car as a bare body with parts. In 2021, it became an obsessive restoration project that ultimately cost over €125,000—and you can see the results everywhere. The body was completely stripped, and every single component, down to the last bolt and nut, was galvanized according to original specifications. Nothing was left untouched.

Under the hood beats an incredibly powerful heart:
a Ford 351 Small Block, stroked to 408 cubic inches—equivalent to 6.7 liters of pure aggression.
This powerhouse was fully built by Performance Mustang in Hawaiian Gardens, California, and equipped with high compression, a Holley carburetor & fuel system, MSD ignition, an aluminum 3-row performance radiator, and a custom-built C4 automatic transmission.

The result? Over 500 hp at the engine and more than 410 hp delivered to the road. And this kind of power demands respect.

To keep this beast under control, the car had to be redesigned from the ground up. It now features a custom-built subframe, a heavy-duty rear axle, an Eaton High Performance Limited Slip Differential, disc brakes all around, and a custom double exhaust that growls like a grizzly waking from hibernation.

Step inside, and you enter a cockpit where old-school charm meets modern craftsmanship. The entire interior is hand-trimmed in Alcantara, including stitching, custom floor panels, headliner, and fully period-correct Recaro seats. Not to mention the Kevlar hood. American-made performance wheels complete the look. With a comprehensive archive of restoration photos—enough to crash a computer—and all receipts, the documentation is complete.

This is a one-off. A unique creation, built with passion and precision, and there’s so much more to tell about it. Curious? Get in touch directly!
