This stunning 1957 Ford Panel Van is up for sale. It has been body-off restored, starting in September 2013 and completed just a few months ago.
The restoration included a frame that was restored and zinc-coated in 2013. An independent front suspension with power disc brakes was installed, along with a four-link suspension and power disc brakes in the rear. A new rack and pinion steering system, all new coilovers, and all sheet metal were stripped to bare metal and built up from the ground with epoxy primer. The vehicle features a seven-stage two-tone blue paint with graphite silver and clear coat.
All chrome has been restored in Germany. The glass is green tinted and new, with weatherstripping also replaced. The vehicle has a complete new power steering system, power braking system, and painless wiring system. The front seats are new, styled after the original '57 seats. All lighting, rear deck wood, power window system, vintage air conditioning, and power door locks are new.
It is equipped with American Racing wheels and brand-new tires. The dash and gauges are all new. The engine is a fully built, brand-new 302 cubic inch V8 with a polished intake, brackets, pulleys, and pump. The exhaust system is a double SS setup. The transmission is a new C4 automatic with overdrive.
Every component on this vehicle is brand new, including emblems, strips, bolts, screws, decals, door handles, locks, and even the chrome front window weatherstripping, which was handmade in Germany for quality.
