On promo! This awe-inspiring 1932 Zipper Roadster is reminiscent of the Ford Hi Boy, equipped with a 350 cu in engine and a TH 350 transmission. Video available at https://youtu.be/_sgWx6Y1_GI?si=_KqceJAAcD0t0PGe.
This stunning 1932-based custom roadster features a Kugel Components chassis with Indy-style rocker arm adjustable coil-over front suspension. It has an adjustable coil-over Corvette-based IRS rear setup with billet control arms. The Zipper body is complemented by four-wheel disc brakes, a tuned port 350 engine, and two-tone gray leather interior.
Only a handful of these have been hand-constructed over the years by this manufacturer. It is priced at less than half the build cost. The vehicle is titled as a 1932 Ford. The Zipper Roadster was designed by Darrel Zipp in 1992.
Unique features include an extended passenger area for increased legroom and doors extended by 6 inches for easy access. The independent rear suspension (IRS) system features adjustable coil-over shock absorbers for improved handling and custom-fabricated components. The inboard disc brakes are reminiscent of Jaguar rear-end designs and are popular among hot rodders. Similar Kugel Components IRS systems can cost upwards of $21,000, just for the rear end unit.
A brilliant glow emanates from stainless steel, chrome, and high-polished metal components, including suspension and drivetrain parts, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. The frameless curved windshield flows seamlessly into the body, leading into a beautifully appointed interior with two-tone light gray upholstery designed to stay cool on sunny rides.
The body structure includes a steel frame support creating a strong cage around the passenger compartment. The floor pan and firewall are designed for strength and durability. This high-end build offers a unique and stylish ride at less than half the cost of building it yourself.
