1990 Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth

Introduced in 1988, the Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth combined Ford’s turbocharged Cosworth performance with a more discreet four-door saloon body, offering a different character compared to the earlier three-door model.

Finished in Moonstone Blue with Raven Black leather upholstery, this notably original example retains its factory radio and amplifier and remains close to original specification throughout.

Powered by a 1,993cc Cosworth twin-cam turbocharged engine driving through a manual gearbox, this two-wheel drive example has covered 74,268 miles from new.

With the exception of an aftermarket exhaust system, the car is described as remaining as it left the factory, preserving much of its original character and specification.

Registered on 28/03/1990, this Sapphire RS Cosworth has had just two registered owners, the most recent since 1993. It has recently benefited from recommissioning, a full service, and cambelt change following a period off the road since 2019.
