Description

The third generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury car produced by Ford for the 1961 to 1963 model years. The 1963 model came with the 390 cu in (6.4 Liter) V8 engine. The Thunderbird also had several firsts for the automotive market. The floating rearview mirror was next to the "Swing Away" steering wheel allowing the driver to exit the vehicle easily.

Depending on variable options, Thunderbirds for 1961 could be purchased with options like air conditioning, power windows, power seats, AM radio, fender skirts, and white wall tires. A total of 73,05, including 10,516 convertibles of that model, were produced.

This 1963 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, first sold in Los Angeles, CA on October 23, 1962, is one of the 5913 convertibles produced in 1963. The beautiful original color combination, Rose Beige with matching interior, makes this T-Bird unique because you don't come across an example like that very often. The Thunderbird has a stock-looking matching interior outfitted with several desirable options, including automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, factory air conditioning, AM/FM pushbutton radio, distinctive center console, and skirts. The convertible top is in working order. Tonneau included.

This third-generation Thunderbird was known for the bullet-like appearance, great lines, beautiful fins of the '50s, the smoother, cleaner lines.
