Extensively restored Glas 1700 GT for sale. Manufactured by Hans Glas GmbH, based in Dingolfing, Bavaria, the company originally produced agricultural machinery and scooters but gained a reputation in the 1960s for technically advanced automobiles. The Glas brand was the first in the world to introduce a timing-belt-driven overhead camshaft.
The Glas GT is the finest example of this innovation: a German coupé with an Italian heart. The bodywork was designed by Pietro Frua, giving the car elegant proportions reminiscent of a miniature Maserati. The 1700 GT represents the pinnacle of the GT series. Under the hood is a 1.7-liter four-cylinder overhead-cam engine producing around 100 hp, paired with a four-speed manual transmission. This setup offers lively performance within a lightweight body and praised driving dynamics.
Only 1,680 units of the 1700 GT were built, making this coupé a rare collector’s item. This particular example was owned by the same person for 27 years, who cared for it meticulously. The car has undergone an extensive restoration and is in excellent condition.

Inside, a tasteful brown interior awaits. The seats have vertical pleats in cognac-colored upholstery, complemented by matching door panels and dark carpeting for a balanced, understated appearance.
