Starting in the early 1950s, this Healey achieved remarkable results in such prestigious competitions as the Tourist Trophy at Dundrod and the Empire Trophy on the Isle of Man, with talented drivers such as J. Buncombe and B.T. Jenkins behind the wheel. Victories in hill climbs and rally’s, such as the 1952 Burnam Rally, confirm the versatility of this Silverstone. Even after its heyday in active motorsport, the car remained prominent in historic races and classic events, including the Eifel-Klassik and the ADAC Classic festival at the Nürburgring. Novice racing drivers who would later go on to make history, found in the Silverstone an excellent car for their needs. *In very clean and well cared for condition*Given the successful history of this specimen, it looks neatly cared for. This Healey proudly wears patina, but the whole is definitely in very clean condition, both the exterior, interior and mechanicals. The paint has some minimal signs of use and the overall condition is therefore well cared for. The bodywork is beautiful and the body panels have nice fits. In the interior, the overall picture is also neat and cared for with the beautiful seats and the nice steering wheel. Turning the key, the 2.4-liter twin-cam engine immediately welcomes us with a deep growl. Obviously, enthusiasts have cherished this special race car and this example has been neatly maintained.
