OLD FORGE Motorcars is proud to offer this Porsche powered Intermeccanica Speedster replica. Most Speedster replicas are VW powered but this beauty sports a genuine 1959 356 power plant.

Back in the day when a poor slob like me could afford to own a Porsche built Speedster, this writer owned a yellow example. As I compare this gem and my own '57 Speedster I get goose bumps it's so close to mine except this one has no rust.

This earlier built Intermeccanica features a genuine Porsche steering wheel which gives you the feel of the "real deal" when motoring around town with the wind blowing your hair. In addition, features such as the instruments, the Speedster seats and the racing seat belts all add up to give the look and feel of authenticity.

The driving dynamics of our car with the genuine Porsche engine's sound also have the feeling of authenticy. With recent mechanical service it is ready to drive anywhere. The top is new as are the side curtains. The paint shines however, close inspection reveals some age related imperfections. The Speedster seats look great but upon up close there are a couple of small tears. The carpet is as new.
