Iconic Jaguar E-Type Series 3 with the legendary 5.3 litre V12 engine. It is the final and most powerful evolution of the E-Type, making it the ultimate grand tourer. Only approximately 7,990 Series 3 V12 examples were produced worldwide. This car has undergone an older professional restoration and is in good condition. It is documented with Belgian registration papers.

The Jaguar E-Type needs little introduction. When unveiled in 1961, Enzo Ferrari famously described it as “the most beautiful car ever made.” The Series 3, introduced in 1971, marked a new era with increased refinement, greater comfort, and significantly more power thanks to the 5.3 litre V12 engine.

The Series 3 features a wider track, revised front design, and a more luxurious interior. While earlier E-Types were pure sports cars, the V12 version evolved into a true grand tourer, ideal for long-distance driving. The V12 engine offers exceptional smoothness, quiet operation, and effortless performance, perfect for relaxed yet prestigious motoring.

This particular example, built in 1971 and finished in an elegant green, was professionally restored in the past and is now in very good condition. It is equipped with an automatic transmission, complementing the refined and comfortable character of the Series 3. Currently, this E-Type V12 is a highly attractive classic for enthusiasts seeking iconic design, comfort, and the prestige of Jaguar’s most legendary engine.

A compression test was conducted at the request of a prospective buyer, confirming that the engine is in perfect condition.

Condition and Remarks:
The car has undergone an older professional restoration with some signs of use. The body has been repainted, and the underside remains original and in good, honest condition. The tires have good tread but are old and limited in usability. The interior, including carpets, is beautifully restored and in very good condition.

The chassis number is original and clearly readable, located above the bonnet latch on the left. The engine bay is in good, honest condition, and the engine runs well, though some adjustment and maintenance are required. Fluid levels and overall maintenance are in need of attention.

The battery is in good condition and should last several more years. The clutch, gearbox, brakes, and handbrake function correctly. The car does not have overdrive. The electrical system is functional, with horn, windscreen wipers, and dashboard functions working. The heater works, but the windscreen washers, speedometer, and dipped headlights require repair. The alternator warning light remains on.

There is some play in the rear wheel bearings, and there are damaged boots on the left steering joint and lower left suspension joint, indicating the need for adjustment and repair.
