The Mark X or Mk X (pronounced Mark Ten) is a Jaguar Cars car that entered the market in 1961.The United States was an important market for Jaguar and with that market in mind, the large Mk X 5.13 m long and 1.94 m wide was developed. The Mk X entered the market in October 1961 with a 245-hp 3.8-liter six-cylinder. In 1964, Jaguar increased the displacement to 4.2-liter. Power increased to 265 horsepower. This Jaguar Mark Ten Saloon 4.2 Liter "Jaguar's top-of-the-line sedan for a decade from 1961 to 1970" of which only 5,680 were produced has just been added to our collection.This completely restored and reconditioned in the U.S.A by Britisch Auto Mk X from Toronto, Onrario Canada which was purchased during the 1970 vacation in London by Mr. John Maxwell is in a very high standard without compromising the factory originality certainly stands its ground here among our other classics. This Jaguar MK 10 has always been maintained in the Netherlands by a well-known Jaguar specialist. The history is largely known and demonstrable with invoices and other documents.A skilled restoration where no expense was spared to achieve the ultimate result. What gives it extra cachet is the beautiful gray interior that formidably matches the deep black exterior color. At the same time, the entire interior is in magnificent condition, with flaws or damage conspicuous by its absence. As can be seen, the woodwork is also very expertly varnished and therefore looks like new. The bodywork looks really neat and together with all the chrome work which was completely re-chromed at the time, it radiates allure. The car stands on the right rims tires in the correct sizes.The engine compartment of this Jaguar is also very nice to mention. The engine, which of course was fully addressed at the time, turns beautifully and sounds very clean. The entire engine and automatic transmission function perfectly and make for a fantastic driving experience, along with the good suspension and tight steering. It makes the car a real joy to be on the road with. We can be simple about this Mk X: a top car in an exceptionally good condition and equally good coloring.In short, a godsend for those who want to purchase a classic car in truly beautiful optical and technical condition.
