955 LHD Jaguar XK140 SE Roadster

This very lovely “matching number” and “matching color” open-two-seater example here is a Jaguar XK140 SE Roadster from 1955.
It is equipped with high performance C Type cylinder head and also has the highly desirable manual overdrive option, shifts very easy and drives very well, Moss gearbox, nice chrome wire wheels, finished in Red exterior with Biscuit trim, black canvas top.
Heritage certificate present.
This XK 140 was supplied new by distributor Hornburg in Los Angeles, USA and delivered to first owner in 1955. The car stayed most of its life in the US (more than 50 years in Arizona) and underwent a complete body off restoration with much attention for details. Sold to its second owner in 2002 the car joined long distance touring and participated in 2008 the Copperstate 1000 and California Mille rallies. A lovely and trustful driver that guaranties much driving pleasure!
Car was then imported to the UK in 2014.
Since arriving in the UK this XK 140 the car underwent certain works, such as steering rack overhaul, new adjustable shock absorbers and also front brake discs. The radiator has been upgraded to a higher performance aluminum radiator.
The car is very well serviced and maintained.
This lovely example has been subject of December 2021 issue and has been featured in “Classic & Sportscar” magazine, including front cover shows the car on the open road and looking its best and also published in several other issues.
The car is technical and optical in very nice state and condition and a blast to drive!
With about 10, 000 miles since its restoration this XK140 presents itself amazing and with a charming patina. It is for sure a wonderful driver and the perfect car for a real Jaguar enthusiast.
