This is a beautiful Jaguar XK150 Fixed Head Coupé (FHC) with a canvas sunroof and beautiful condition. The Jaguar XK150 was so much more than just a facelift of the XK140. The XK150 was a car that was much more advanced and had a much more modern ride. These kinds of cars are from the time when a few years could make a huge difference in technical developments. It was also the time when Jaguar was an absolute world power and delivered quality that they simply have not been able to match since. This car was delivered new in Belgium in 1957 and has already been restored with a great sense of originality. The restoration has been a while ago and it means that the car is still in good condition but has a lot of character that a modern car can never offer you. During the restoration the car was nut & bolt restored and that is the main reason that the car is still in such good condition.

The bodywork is very tight. The sheet metal is nice and thin and the paint is in good condition apart from some light traces of use. The canvas roof also fits everywhere beautifully and the chrome wire wheels and bumpers look great. It is a joy to look at this Jaguar and walking towards it gives a huge feeling of pleasure. That feeling is reinforced as soon as you open the door. This is because the original leather was reused during the restoration. The leather on the seats has a beautiful patina and is still wonderfully supple. The carpets and the dashboard are also in excellent condition, as are the instruments and controls. The counters are of course all from Smiths and fit perfectly with this British sports car. The XK150 can rightly be called a sports car. The 3.4 litre six-in-line produces 180 hp and is more than powerful even today. The car also has disc brakes and excellent suspension. The driving characteristics are therefore excellent and you can actually use the power. As the pictures show, this is not a car for someone who is looking for a freshly restored example. This is a car for the driver, the person who sees a car as a platform to achieve goals and not as an end in itself. Do you intend to drive in style to your favourite European capital or to Goodwood? Then this is the XK150 for you. If you are looking for an XK150 to put in a glass box and just look at, then this might not be the perfect XK150 for you. Get in, firmly accelerate and enjoy.
