Description

Jaguar XK150 OTS for sale.

The Jaguar XK150 OTS (Open Two-Seater) was introduced in 1957 and remained in production until 1961. It was the successor to the highly successful XK120 and XK140 models, which had established Jaguar as a leading sports car manufacturer. The XK150 OTS was a popular choice among enthusiasts for its sleek design, excellent handling, and powerful engine.

The XK150 OTS was powered by a 3.8-liter inline six-cylinder engine that produced 265 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful sports cars of its time. It had a top speed of 135 mph and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 7 seconds. The engine was paired with a four-speed manual transmission plus overdrive, which provided precise and smooth shifting.

The XK150 OTS had a distinctive design, featuring a long hood, short deck, and a low-slung profile. The car's suspension was a combination of independent front suspension and a live rear axle, which provided excellent handling and a smooth ride.
The interior of the XK150 OTS was luxurious, featuring leather seats, and a full set of gauges. The car also had an optional heater, which was a popular feature for those who wanted to use the car year-round.
The XK150 OTS was available in a range of colours, including British Racing Green, Carmen Red, and Gunmetal Grey. It was also available with a number of optional extras, including wire wheels, and a luggage rack.
Today, the Jaguar XK150 OTS is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Its timeless design, excellent performance, and luxurious interior make it a classic sports car.

Exterior: The British Racing Green colour on this Jaguar XK150 OTS is just gleaming. It recently had a professional polish and looks absolutely stunning. The chrome wire wheels have also been cleaned and are in excellent condition. They are fitted with proper Michaelin tyres. Every single chrome item on the exterior of this Jaguar XK 150 OTS is just gorgeous. All the panels fit remarkably well for an XK. Also note the original Jaguar headlights. The car had a full restoration at Peter Zwackman in the Netherlands during the late seventies.

Interior: Inside the small cabin of the Jaguar XK 150, there is still space for tall drivers unlike the previous models of XK cars. The leather most likely was replaced a long time ago and has today regained a wonderful patina and is still looking very nice and clean. The dashboard has recently been refurbished just like the panels covering the front screen on the inside. At the same time, the rubber seal was replaced in the front screen together with the rubber seal in the doors. All instruments and the heater fan have normal functions.

Engine: During the restoration in Holland, the engine was updated from the original 3,4 to a 3,8 litre with triple carburettor and S specification. At the same time, an S badge was fitted to the car.

The engine was restored by Swedish Jaguar specialist, Roland Nordh, during 1996.
Classic Motor Cars in Bridgenorth, England made a restoration of the cylinder head in 2007.
The car has a 12-volt battery, AC generator and electronic 123 distributor.
A recent service with oil change etc has been done and the car just drove 500 km in one day.
Four-speed gear box with overdrive works perfectly.

History: This Jaguar XK 150 open two-seater (roadster) left the factory September 30th 1959. Totally 2,267 open two-seaters were manufactured during 1957-1959. Most of them were left-hand drive. While most of the open two-seaters went on export to United States, this rare car was delivered to J. Faull in Mumbles, Swansea as the very first owner. The Jaguar XK150 came to Sweden already in September 1971. It comes with a thick binder of receipts dating all the way back to the time in U.K. as well as the original jack, spare, original handbook. It is today a remarkably fine driving classic for its age and is ready for new adventures. If you have a vintage Jaguar you are looking to sell let us know here.
