The 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 is widely regarded as one of the most legendary sports cars of all time, praised for its timeless design, pure performance, and elegant sporting character. Condition and remarks:
Bodywork shows scratches, dents, and misalignment. The paintwork is damaged but still presentable, with many sanding marks. The underside requires welding, and the floor panels need replacing.
Tyres have good tread but are old (from 2008). The hood is in good condition, while the interior has been restored but shows signs of use, with worn carpets.
The engine bay is dirty; the matching numbers engine runs well, but the carburettors need servicing. The dashboard is not functioning, with the odometer, speedometer, tachometer, washer system, and dashboard lighting defective. The heater, wipers, and horn are working.
The rear fog light is defective. There is play in the front wheel bearings, rear axle, and steering column.
This is an original example with matching numbers, equipped with the desirable 4.2 XK engine with triple SU carburettors. It is an ideal basis for restoring an absolute classic.
