Description

The Jaguar E-Type was introduced in 1961 as Jaguar’s successor in the sports car segment and quickly became one of the most famous British sports cars of its time. The model combined a streamlined body with advanced technology for its era. Over the course of its production, the E-Type underwent various changes, with the later Series III clearly distinguishing itself through the introduction of the V12 engine and a broader lineup.

The Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 debuted in 1971 and became the final and most technically advanced version of the series. The 5.3-liter V12 was developed to offer greater flexibility and power than the earlier inline-six engines. The Series III featured a longer wheelbase and a wider body, especially in the two-seater convertible version, setting it apart visually and technically from earlier models. Production of the Series III remained relatively limited, making this version a notable final phase in the E-Type’s history.

A Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 from June 1974 belongs to the final years of production. By then, the E-Type was established as a classic, with Jaguar transitioning toward a more luxurious and comfortable character with the V12 engine. This combination of British sports car heritage and the final generation of an iconic model gives this version a special place in Jaguar’s evolution during the 1970s.

This E-Type Series III V12 is finished in red and equipped with air conditioning and power steering. These features, along with the V12 engine, reflect the Series III’s focus on ease of use and driving comfort. The car has a mileage of 52,164 km and runs on gasoline. The power output is 200 kW.

The vehicle has been perfectly restored, is very well maintained, and is in superb condition. It features a new convertible top. Thanks to the V12 engine, open-top body, and these features, this example holds a distinctive position among the Jaguar E-Type variants.

The Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 from June 1974 represents the final generation of an important British sports car. With its 5.3-liter V12, equipment, red color, and well-maintained condition, it is a late and unique model within the E-Type series. For a better impression, viewing is recommended.
