Description

The current owner of this impressive 1984 Jeep CJ7 has owned it since 2014. It was given a total rebuild a few years prior to that. This well-built CJ is ready to show or have fun blasting around the trails. It features a great-running and bulletproof 258 cubic inch inline-6 engine.

The Jeep is equipped with an AJ's heavy-duty fiberglass body, which looks right and eliminates rust concerns. The paint and bodywork were completed around 2010, making them some of the oldest features on the vehicle, indicating a comprehensive rebuild. Despite its off-road focus, the finish is still quite good, with a strong shine and minimal dents or scratches. The body is in very good condition, with smooth, wave-free fiberglass.

Off-road features include fender flares, tubular bumpers with a front grille guard, and a heavy-duty tire rack at the rear, emphasizing its capabilities. Classic Jeep elements such as the folding windshield, round headlights, and chrome grille remain, showcasing its traditional design.

Inside, you'll find high-back bucket seats with heavy-duty denim seat covers from Bestop. The dash was painted to match the body and contains stock gauges with an auxiliary 12-volt power point underneath. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo is installed in the locking center console, feeding extra speakers, though the sound system could be refreshed. The floors are protected by spray-on bed liner material, making cleanup easy after off-road adventures. A full Bestop convertible top and soft doors are included, both in very good condition.

The engine, a 258 I6, was rebuilt in 2010. Extensive modifications make this Jeep a formidable off-road performer, with low-RPM torque ideal for trail driving. The power steering and power disc brakes, with new pump, hoses, radiator, water pump, and thermostat circa 2010, make handling easier. The 4-speed manual transmission and two-speed transfer case facilitate obstacle climbing at low speeds.

A 2.5-inch lift kit with Pro-Comp shocks at each corner enhances off-road capability. Dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers provides a distinctive sound. The Jeep rides on stylish 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 32.5x11.5-15 BFGoodrich off-road radials, ready for any terrain.

Built for fun in the dirt, this Jeep delivers excellent off-road performance and reliability.
