Auto Storica is pleased to announce this Jensen 541
Don't worry if you haven't heard of this exotic British model until today, as its production during the six years it was sold was only 546 units.
The Jensen 541 was one of the first British cars to feature a fiberglass body, resting on a steel chassis, which initially gave it a very light weight.
The weight of its original mechanics, a 4.0-liter inline-6 engine from Austin, combined with the enormous gearbox, made the Jensen a heavy car, with good poise on fast roads, but lacking agility on twisty roads, a handicap for those looking to compete with it.
Therefore, a common modification at the time for those looking to reduce weight was to replace the mechanics with those of a Jaguar XJ6, much lighter and more reliable than the original powertrain.
Our unit is equipped with this engine, and with a power output close to 200 hp, it will delight anyone looking for a fast and different classic.
