The one you see here was built in 2016 and is actually a new car. The restoration was done to perfection and the modifications are almost impossible to list. For your imaging, ordering a car like this today means spending between €250,000 and €350,000.The first thing that stands out is, of course, the truly stunning interior. The two-tone 'Bridge of Weir' leather, the same used at Bentley, is very nice and the rest of the interior is actually new as well. Better sound insulation, a completely new modern air conditioning system up to today's standards and beautiful materials create an experience that, while reminiscent of the classic Jensen, comes close to a modern GT in terms of comfort. The Smiths counters and all electronics are new. In the center console adorns the gearshift of the manual transmission. Again: not the original but a brand new six-speed Tremec gearbox.Where previously with this gearbox you operated a 7.2 liter V8 with 330 hp (later 280 hp) there is now a well-known Chevrolet LS3 V8 under the hood. 6.2 liter big, new off the shelf (a so-called crate engine) and 480 hp strong! Many times more powerful, torquey and even more economical too: the perfect engine for this Interceptor. It ensures that the Interceptor accelerates like a modern sports car.The mileage on the odometer, just over 3,000, is the amount that the engine has now traveled. Barely broken in so.It will not surprise you that with such power, the rest of the technology has also been completely overhauled or renewed. To name a few things: the brakes from AP Racing, the beautiful wheels, the chassis, suspension, rear axle including differential, exhaust and all other parts are completely in new condition and calculated to their task. Incidentally, it is nice to mention that the rear suspension no longer consists of leaf springs but independent suspension in "Jaguar style" with springs and shock absorbers.Driving the JIA Interceptor is a complete feast.
