Description

1934 Lagonda M45R Le Mans Team Car Replica:

Registered in Belgium (BE)
Chassis Number: Z10712
Engine Number: 2461

Engine Specifications: 4,500 cc, 6-inline cylinder engine, approximately 200hp, 4-speed manual transmission

Originally, this Lagonda M45R started as a pillarless saloon. However, in 1987, due to its deteriorating condition, it underwent a remarkable transformation into the 'Le Mans' body style. The restoration and rebuilding work was entrusted to the late Peter Whenman, a Lagonda specialist at Vintage Coachworks in England. Whenman expertly handled the chassis and bodywork, while Julian Messent, the founder and owner of HCS, took charge of the mechanical aspects.

The 'Le Mans' body, crafted by Pitney Coachbuilding (UK), has been meticulously maintained and boasts a striking black finish that beautifully complements the car's appearance.

Inside, you'll find well-preserved blue leather upholstery, and the brushed aluminum dash housing the gauges adds a touch of sophistication. Additionally, there's a separate backseat providing ample space for either passengers or luggage.

The original "Buff" UK Logbook includes a complete owner history from its initial registration up to the seventh change in 1949. We also have records of all subsequent owners up to the current one.

Enhanced with three carburetors and upgraded engine internals, this car offers impressive speed. Moreover, it features an exceptional HCS Dog Gearbox conversion cleverly integrated into the original gearbox case, ensuring smooth and seamless gear changes. This vehicle is in excellent overall condition and is ready for various driving experiences, including rallies or even the thrilling Classic Le Mans. Before delivery, the car will undergo a comprehensive service to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey home.
