"The Maserati Quattroporte III is a large and seductively equipped sedan with a sporty heart - and it is totally undervalued." That is how auto, motor & sport judged about 10 years ago. Well, our 4.9 liter, to be precise 4.928 liter Maserati Quattroporte III was registered for the first time on June 26th, 1985 in CH-1110 Morges (Canton of Vaud). The delivery was also carried out by the Maserativ representative W.H. Felber SA.
The Maserati was ordered as a rare manual switch & delivered with a ZF 5-speed gearbox.
The first owner in the service book is the same company as the current vehicle registration document - so it is obviously a vertical first hand Swiss car. The service booklet is included as well as the complete on-board folder.
The interior is in very nice condition, as is the body.
The condition of the car can be described as very good - after all, around 30,000 CHF have just been invested. Among other things, the following was done:
- entire sub-floor dry ice blasting and treat again (the sub-floor is not welded according to the mechanic)
- Dismantle the rear axle & replace the silent blocks and rubber bearings
- Partially rebuild the exhaust system
- replace all fuel hoses
- Replace various water hoses
- Revise front shock absorbers
- Replace the bonnet damper
- Make new front left and right bulkheads
- Replace the rear and front brake pads
- Dismantle the gearbox
- Replace and mount the oil seal
- Replace the brake fluid
- Carry out an exhaust test
- Partially dismantle, clean and assemble the carburetor
- Adjust the rear wheel bearing
- Revise various electronic components
The Quattroporte has just passed the Swiss Veteran MFK.
Great sports sedan!
