Description

The Mercedes 300SE W112 was with six cylinder engines and air suspension. The model range was produced between 1961-1967. It was available in four door sedan, coupe and convertible.
Exterior: As you can see in the pictures, this car has an older paint that is today showing many years of use. Scratches and chips are present but no signs of corrosion on the outer body. The big soft top is in good condition and the chrome details are good, even if there is some smaller dent. This car was sold new here in Sweden and many people preferred the American style headlights. The long sweeping lines are enhanced by the chrome trim running all the way on the side of the car. These were specific for the Mercedes W112 300SE model. However, they can often be found also on other Mercedes Coupes and convertibles such as 220SE, 250SE, 280SE and 280SE 3.5. The Mercedes 300SE looks amazing in this colour combination. The beige leather makes such a great contrast to the blue colour on the outside.
Interior: The Mercedes 300SE Cabriolet has received a new leather interior recently. It is the original style Mercedes leather with perforation in the centre. All the woodwork is just fantastic and has been refurbished by a specialist in Margaretetorp. On the dashboard, you will find the original Becker Europa radio.
The Mercedes W112 300SE Cabriolet
Engine: The 3 litre straight six aluminium engine starts easily and has a healthy sound. The automatic gearbox also works nicely and smoothly for a Mercedes. The engine feels very strong and happy in this car.
History: This Mercedes W112 300SE Cabriolet was sold new here in Sweden on the second of September 1964. The Mercedes was in the same ownership until 2005 when it was taken over by another family member and is still in the same family today. So, a total of two owners during all these years. Regular maintenance and part restoration work have been done over the years and there are plenty of collected receipts. It is not possible to determine the correct total travel. Today the counter is showing 47,000km and has turned over at least once. The original spare and jack are still with the car. Just like the original handbook and spare parts catalogue. I would describe the condition as a daily driver today. Mercedes W112 300SE Cabriolet is a rare car nowadays, and this car can be used as an enthusiast car as you see it here today.
