1987 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL convertable

This is a very rare 300 SL imported from Europe. It has a 6 cylinder engine with 5 speed manual transmission.

I have had the car since 1999. It has been very well maintained and always garaged.
It now has just over 172,000 miles and runs great. The only motor work I have had done was valve seals some years ago.
This same body style was sold in the US, but they all had V-8 engines with automatic transmissions and clunky bumpers.
This car is a delight to drive if you are into the old style sport cars. It's solid and sturdy and has a decent size trunk for golf clubs, etc.
My only reason for selling is that I am in my mid 70's and seldom drive it anymore. (Less than 1,000 miles per year the past few and only with the top down on sunny days.)
You see in the pictures that it has a hardtop, which I seldom used. It also has a soft top of course which tucks away neatly out of sight.
