The Mercedes-Benz SL is a timeless classic, representing the ultimate status symbol in the automotive industry for more than 40 years. This third generation of the Sportlich-Leicht class, the R107, built on the legendary chassis of the code W113, is richly equipped, built with a quality that is on-and-off Mercedes and with powerful and luxurious appearance. Mercedes produced the R107 from 1971 to 1989. This particular 560 SL, as evidenced by its documentation, received its pre-delivery inspection on October 17, 1986 at Mercedes-Benz dealer Claridge’s LTD in Fremont, Califë, before being delivered to its first owner. We think this owner had taste because she ordered this SL in Impala Brown. Mercedes added this classy color to the SL program shortly before this car. The owner also chose to order the interior with full leather upholstery in dark brown. A wonderfully timeless combination! With only 75,000 miles, this combination still has the same look as the day of delivery. The car is also beautifully equipped with a Becker radio, folding armrest and cruise control, among other features. This Mercedes-Benz is in nice and good condition today, given the miles and recent maintenance that took place, also not surprising. This SL received the necessary maintenance in recent years and all invoices of this are present. The body is largely still in the first paint. The whole, including the chrome work, looks good, including the hardtop and rims. In the interior we find beautiful leather upholstery in the chic dark brown color. The low mileage can be seen in everything. The steering wheel, dashboard and the rest of the interior is very nice. Under the hood, everything is neatly taken care of. Of course, driving Mercedes' top model, including the largest engine that was available for the SL, is incredibly nice. This example sounds very healthy, the automatic transmission shifts buttery smooth and the handling is very stable, and the low mileage again reflects the condition of the car. This 560 SL comes complete with all original booklets, including the owner's manual, service booklet, original Mercedes-Benz manuals for the Becker radio, cruise control and climate control, CARFAX report and all matching keys, including ‘garage key’ and matching leather key covers.
