The MG F-Type Magna was MG's first ever six-cylinder. You can say without a doubt that this was a true sports car with its typical six-in-line engine. The F-Type came in several body styles and was certainly striking with its long hood and tilted grille. Equipped with a silky smooth running, and torquey six-in-line engine with a competition-derived gearbox gives a delightful driving experience. This F-Type Magna is a rare Salonette version, there were about 390 of them made new. Today less than 10 are known to exist! Based on the F-Type registry, this is possibly the oldest, still original Salonette in existence. This car is in top condition and has been fully restored in a time-correct color scheme. Of course, this car is also matching numbers. The officiële “Pass-out Voucher”, dated January 9, 1932 is included with the car as well as an original “MG Magna Motoring”brochure. The F-Type Magna is sometimes called the little “Blue Train” because the car resembles a small version of the iconic Bentley. The 1,285cc engine produces an impressive amount of sound that one would not initially expect from such’a friendly-looking car. On the road, the MG offers a typical pre-war sports car experience and therefore rightly has many admirers. This car also has a FIVA passport and is ideally suited to participate in a concours d’elegance. It is a handy exotic in top condition that will not be out of place in any collection.
