This stunning MG A 1500 was built in October 1958 and hit the road with its first owner in February 1959 in California. Upon its introduction, the MG A was immediately a very popular model because of its sporty handling and good value for money. In that respect, little has changed in the past 60 years.Let's start at the beginning with this very nice fully restored MGA . The chassis is rock hard and completely free of rust and the entire chassis has been fully restored. The sheet metal is very nice, free of wear and with correct fits. During the restoration, the car was also fitted with a new convertible top which is still in nice used condition. Also, the interior has been completely taken care of and is completely reupholstered.Also, the probably the completely rebuilt engine is matching, however, the Heritage certificate does not state an engine number. But upon inspection it was found that this engine number matches the 1958 construction year. The engine runs very nicely and shifting is very smooth. The color Old English White against the red leather upholstered interior with also a red cloth hood makes for a wonderful classic contrast. The MG A remains a delightful British classic. Great design, a good chassis and a delightful 1.5 4-cylinder engine. All the controls and instruments on the dashboard are in perfect condition and function as they should.Seeing that the MGA was restored in 2013 attests to the quality that was delivered at the time as it still looks great. Also, in this restoration they chose to replace all the chrome work the windshield and all the body rubbers were replaced and all the wiring was replaced. Originally this MGA had steel rims and these were replaced for chrome 60 spoke rims at the time. Let the "sixties" revive and enjoy full throttle of the wonderful handling and the wonderfully smooth engine in this fully restored MG A.In short, an MG A 1500 that needs nothing and where you will experience a lot of pleasure.
