Description

My mgb is from 1963, and it is a rare first series model with overdrive. The car was built and intended for the Italian market. It has an ASI gold plate and has the CRS in the car registration document, with tire approval for both the 155 (which it has now) and the 165
These are the works recently carried out (I spent 7000 euros on them) because I thought it was my last car, the definitive one, but then I felt like switching to an MGA which is an older model, so since I have no space available in the garage I would like to sell my mgb. Updated summary of the work done on the 1963 mgb with overdrive - asi gold plate + crs:
repainted in the original Tartan Red color, new stainless steel side skirts, new 155 tires, new inner tubes, new stainless steel exhausts, new leaf springs, new Teflon bushings for the front and rear suspension, carburetors redone in Brescia by British Racing Green di Franchini, new fuel filter, new distributor vacuum tube, new additional radiator fan with vintage manual control, new front bonnet rod, new handbrake cable, new front brake pads, overhauled disc brake caliper, new direction indicator stick (arrows), new steering cap, new vintage cigarette lighter (to power any phone battery charger), new car battery, new battery switch, odometer instrument recently overhauled in Verona by Pravata, recent complete service (Castroll 20w50 oil, new spark plugs, new air filter, new oil cartridge, rubber mats bought new, original keys, original tounneau cover, seat slides restored to new, driver's seat with new original padding, new dashboard instrument bulbs, glovebox lock (front drawer) restored, the chrome band of the glovebox was replaced with a new vintage one, the glass shell of the right side courtesy light was replaced with an original vintage one, tappets perfectly adjusted, new distributor cap, new spark plug wires, new condenser, new rotor, new original platinum points of the time. I will surely forget something else but the car is in perfect working order in everything. The car was manufactured in 1963 produced for the Italian market, and its registration in Italy is August 1963, the odometer and rev counter are Jaeger brand, there is heating, the indicators on the front fenders are the original ones of the time (which Innocenti, as an Italian importer, had installed to adapt the car to the Italian highway code). As I remember something I will I add: car overhauled, brake pump overhauled, complete replacement of the oil in the brake pump and clutch with silicone dot5 oil injection, replacement of the rubber skirt under the gear lever. New windshield wipers, new rearview mirror shaft, new rearview mirror base, new deflector handle. I replaced an arrow on the mudguard with a new original one from the period. Before repainting the car I had all the holes caused by the screws to fit the rear license plate welded. I had the old holes that housed the MG badge on the rear bonnet welded again, and I had the badge fitted correct. New mesh grille (leaf stopper positioned before the bonnet), replaced some chrome rings of the dashboard instrumentation. I had the car's registration document updated at the motor vehicle department with the approval for tyres with sizes 155 and 165
