The Pinifarina – designed MGB GT made its debut at the London Motor Show in October 1965, and was an instant success. This is one of the early cars, first UK registered 05/04/1966
This one was expertly restored in 2022 by a long-term client of ours, who’s an ex panel beater and paint sprayer. At the time, it was very tired, but still retained a high level of originality, which remains important on the early cars. And I think he did a superb job. He’s kept it garaged ever since, and probably only done around 400 miles in it.
Apart from the fitment of a pair of period auxiliary driving lights and an alternator conversion, it remains resolutely standard including the original large steering wheel, and no radio.
Fitted with a set of enamel wire wheels which are in period.
Odometer reading 43000 miles – obviously we can’t guarantee this, but who knows? It may be correct.
Absolutely spot-on to drive, and looking fantastic in Mineral Blue – one of my favourite colours for an early B.
