This Roadster is a very nice and fresh example beautifully finished in Old English White with a black leather interior, original chrome bumpers and wire wheels with a classic look. It was produced in 1972 and was delivered new in the United States (as most are). As a result, the car has remained rust free. In 1996 the car was geïmported to the Netherlands, where it has been cherished by enthusiasts. The last owner used the car mostly for touring. EXTERIORThe bodywork is very clean and rust and damage free. The paintwork catches the eye and is remarkably fresh. The rubbers and lights are also cool. The wire wheels have good tires and at the front red painted brake pads give the car a sporty touch. Nice accessories are the trunk rack and the tow bar. The original chrome bumpers are free of any significant damage. The soft top is also in good condition with no tears or damage, and the locking mechanism works well.INTERIORThe black interior is still very nice with no damage and breathes an English atmosphere. Due to its year of construction, it is equipped with comfortable conveniences, such as a center armrest and a beautiful three-spoke steering wheel covered in leather. The interior is further equipped with heating and the overdrive provides a pleasant ''5th gear''. The trunk area accommodates the spare tire. TECHNICALUnder the hood, it is a work of art to behold: dry, clean and the engine shines at you. It has electric ignition, an oil cooler, alternator, Kenlo van, renewed master brake and clutch cylinders. In addition, the exhaust has been renewed. Technically, the MG is well maintained and it starts, drives and shifts excellent. In short: a superb example of a true driver's car of an iconic car ready for the summer to put a smile on your face.ALGEMENAL INFORMATIONThe MG B succeeded the MG A in 1963, a car that was already quite popular for MG - part of The British Motor Company (BMC) - with over 100,000 units. The MG B would be produced until 1980 and even more of these were eventually produced: over half a million units. In addition to the roadster, other variants were produced such as the MG B GT three-door 2+2 coupé (1965-1980), the six-cylinder MG C (1967-1969), and the eight-cylinder MG B GT V8. With its 1.8-liter engine and 95 hp, the MG B was a lot more powerful than the 1.6-liter MG A. In addition to performance and handling, the MG B had to score highly in terms of safety and affordability. This combination made the car a great success. The body is self-supporting and the low center of gravity and use of aluminum body parts ensure a low weight of 970 KG and a high degree of agility. In turn, the independent suspension system benefits comfort. In short: a great success in the height of the British car industry. An ideal classic for touring, vacation driving or just to cherish.
