The MG TD came onto the market in 1950 and was the successor to the MG TC.
The British sports car that the American soldiers who returned to their country had so loved.
Just like for the MG TC, America was the most important sales market for the MG TD.
The chassis and body of the TD were broadly similar to those of the TC.
However, the TD had rack and pinion steering, coil springs (instead of leaf springs) and independent front suspension. The fenders had a different shape because the large 19-inch spoke wheels of the TC had made way for 15-inch wheels.
These changes provided much better driving characteristics.

This is a very nice MG TD built in 1953 in the color: Autumn Red.
In combination with a beautiful red leather interior.
The car is equipped with the original steering wheel, tonneau cover and a beige canvas soft top complete with side windows.
