Description

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at Race Retro 2026 - Collectors Cars on Saturday the 21st of February, Stoneleigh Park, Stoneleigh Rd, Coventry, CV8 2LG. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS occupies a particularly focused position within the Evolution VI range. Built as the lightweight, competition-oriented variant, the RS dispensed with many comfort features in favour of reduced weight and enhanced driver engagement, pairing its rally-bred drivetrain with limited-slip differentials and a close-ratio gearbox, notably without Active Yaw Control.
Imported into the UK in 2010, this car is accompanied by a VX history report from Japan, supporting the mileage and documenting its condition prior to arrival. Since entering the UK, the Evolution has maintained a clear MOT history with no advisories recorded.
Purchased by its current owner in March 2023 from a well-known rally car dealer’s private collection and has since benefited from attentive maintenance carried out by recognised Mitsubishi Evo specialists. Recent works include:

March 2023 – 53,291 miles: Full service including transmission and differentials using OEM parts and fluids
July 2023 – 53,862 miles: Comprehensive service including belts, OEM water pump, spark plugs, clutch and flywheel, together with a thorough inspection
September 2023 – 53,948 miles: Replacement OEM alternator and starter motor with oil service
May 2024 – 54,052 miles: Oil and filter change
December 2025 – 54,642 miles: Full service and pre-sale inspection
January 2026: Professional paintwork detail and protective coating

During its early years in the UK, the car is understood to have enjoyed success on the show circuit, reportedly achieving concours recognition, and it continues to present to a notably high standard today.
Now indicating 54,653 miles and offered with a fresh MOT prior to sale, this Evolution VI RS combines the purity of Mitsubishi’s lightweight homologation philosophy with careful ownership and recent specialist maintenance, representing an appealing opportunity for collectors and marque enthusiasts alike. We encourage your inspection at our Race Retro Collectors’ Car Sale.
