What a wonderful car, right? This is a Morgan 4/4 from 1948. Rightly so and a very rare car. Morgan built only 140 pieces of the Morgan 4/4 Series 1 between 1946 and 1950, how many are left is very questionable but it can never be many. This example has been fully restored in the recent past and is in beautiful condition. The paint is neatly cared for and looks beautiful. Is there actually a better color for a Morgan? The car is on the beautiful original steel wheels that have the original hubcaps and tires in the correct sizes. The underside of the car is also neatly cared for. The chrome is neatly cared for as are the lights. The bumpers fit nicely and the hood also has a good fit. The interior is upholstered with beautiful black carpets and black leather on the seats. The instruments and controls are also in good condition and look very original. The dashboard has already been reupholstered once and looks good. Despite its modest size, it is very easy to find a good seating position in the car. The technology consists of a 1.2 liter four-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The engine produces 39 hp and is more than sufficiently powerful to allow the small lightweight Morgan 4/4 to keep up with modern traffic. The handling is delightfully old-fashioned in the positive sense. You cannot find this driving experience in a modern car anymore. The car is equipped all round with drum brakes that are also perfectly suited to their task. In short, a very rare and in very good condition Morgan 4/4 from 1948.
