motodrome are pleased to offer this 1963 Morris Mini Minor Mark One, finished in Red with two -tone red and cream trim
An early ‘floor start’ example with the wand gearlever.
The last owner tells us that it was restored by her late father over a 5 year period between 2015 and 2020, and it has covered minimal miles since his death in 2021.
V5 only shows 4 previous owners, and the odometer reading is incorrect as showing less than 1000 miles. It apparently had a replacement speedo as part of the restoration. The MOT database shows it had an odometer reading of 41432 miles 7 years ago.
With a standard-tune 850cc A-series engine and drum brakes, it’s never going to embarrass any Cooper S models, but it’s still very entertaining to drive, with the character that only a Mini, especially an early mark 1, can provide.
On our own website, you’ll find our usual 2 videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.
