Description

The Nissan 300 ZX V6 is part of Nissan’s Z-series, which began in 1969 with the Datsun 240Z. The series was developed as a sporty grand tourer for a broad audience and became a major export product for Nissan. The 300 ZX debuted in the early 1980s as the successor in this series, marking a step toward greater comfort, higher build quality, and more modern technical features. In Europe, the model was known as the 300 ZX for the Z31 generation, while in various markets it was marketed as the 300ZX or Fairlady Z.

The 1984 model year falls within a period when Nissan positioned the Z-series as a fast, technically advanced coupe rather than a pure lightweight sports car. It was available with various engine options, including V6 versions, reflecting a time when Japanese manufacturers were increasingly equipping their export models with greater refinement and advanced technology. The Nissan 300 ZX V6 fits into a market where other Japanese and European coupes were also adopting a more mature character.

Within Nissan’s history, the 300 ZX occupies a distinct place as the model that bridged the gap between the early, simpler Z models and the more complex late 1980s and early 1990s generations. The Z31 was known for its modern design, featuring angular lines, aerodynamics, and touring capabilities. For collectors and enthusiasts, the Nissan 300 ZX V6 represents a specific phase in the development of the Z series.

The 1984 Nissan 300 ZX V6 is equipped with a six-cylinder V-engine, giving it a different character compared to earlier inline-six models. This technical transition was a key feature of the generation and aligns with Nissan’s broader development during those years, when compact V6 engines were increasingly adopted. The car is in running condition.

This example has a few imperfections on the exterior and interior. The power windows need to be checked. Older documentation and an owner’s manual are included.

The 1984 Nissan 300 ZX V6 is an early representative of the Z31 generation and holds a notable place in Nissan’s history as a sporty V6-powered coupe. It is in running condition, with some exterior and interior imperfections, and the window regulators should be checked. Older documentation and an owner’s manual are included. We recommend attending the viewing day to get a good impression of the lot.
