Description

1966 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Coupe. 400 CID, 4 speed Muncie, 12 bolt posi rear end. 3.90 ratio. Autumn Bronze. Black interior, earlier pattern. The car can be driven and has been out recently. Factory A/C, Power windows, U16 Factory Tach and console shifter with vacuum gauge. A91 Vacuum trunk release. Aftermarket Hurst Competition Plus shifter, Accel dual point distributor, Summit Racing carburetor, and exhaust. Original HD 3 speed manual. Car drives well, with all-new brake lines, hardware, and master cylinder. New tires, battery, carburetor with electric choke, gas tank, electric fuel pump, horn relay, and radiator. The strong running 400 has less than 100 miles since a complete rebuild. Complete car with extra parts- all that appear in the photos are included as part of the sale. Rocker panels are solid- and all other body panels are straight and usable. Frame is in GC. Interior door panels are in GC. Power windows function, but the switches do not. Front left side floor pan has been patched, as have areas in the trunk largely near the wheel wells. Front and back windshield trim, plus bumpers, are straight but have rust spots and replacement or re-chroming are good choices. Car needs completed assembly of the A/C system and dash, a full makeover of the interior plus paint and bodywork for an exterior renovation, and troubleshooting of the power window system. Some additional metalworking is needed. The floor patches can be used and added to- another 10% as an estimate- or replacement panels could be installed and may be a better choice. Undoubtedly, some other parts, assembly, and repair are going to be needed beyond what is mentioned. The car has mostly original parts, but not exclusively. Odometer shows 65,018 miles, but cannot be verified. This is a rare and high-optioned car that drives straight, shifts smoothly, and stops. Same owner the past 34 years, and the previous owner was known prior to that. The car has not been driven during winter months the entire time of ownership. This is a chance to own a piece of Oldsmobile high performance history.
