The Fury was produced by Plymouth from 1955 until 1989. Introduced in 1965 the 4th generation unveiled its new full-size Chrysler C-body platform. The Sport Fury was the highest trim and feature model positioned to compete with the Chevrolet Impala Super Sport and Ford Galaxie 500/XL. It offered a sportier interior and exterior trim package. The 1966 Fury kept the same profile as the 1965 with a split front and rear grille motif. This particular example is convertible optioned with a 383ci Commando V8 and a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission. It retains original Dark Blue Poly paint, a Medium Blue vinyl interior with Blue Satellite cloth seating areas and its Parchment top was replaced about 20 years ago. It was optioned with a power top, power steering and power brakes. This is a 2 family car that the current family acquired in 1992 and it currently has 99,458 original miles. Within the last year it was tuned up, all of the fluids and filters were changed, new brake shoes were installed as was a new battery and new radial tires. The center console storage compartment latch is broken, the interior lights do not work and the paint is most definitely showing its age. That being said we would conservatively classify this as a number 3 vehicle and as such would appraise it the NADA Average Retail value which is currently $25,920. We are serious about finding the 3rd family for this timeless classic and have priced it accordingly so if you like what you see you best contact us before it is too late!
