This 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was subsequent refurbishment included replacing the cylinder heads and belt-driven accessories, installing a high-flow oil pump, a compact starter, and a high-performance exhaust system, performing bodywork and a repaint in Deep Black, and retrimming areas of the black velour interior. Aftermarket 15×8.0″ Snowflake-style alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires manufactured in 2008. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The front bucket seats and rear split bench are trimmed in black velour complemented by a color-coordinated replacement headliner and carpets. The 400ci W72 V8 was factory rated at 220 horsepower and features a four-barrel carburetor, Hedman shorty headers, a Pypes X-pipe, and Flowmaster mufflers. The carburetor was rebuilt in 2023, and the factory catalytic converters have been removed. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Saf-T-Track limited-slip differential.
