This is not just any Porsche. This 1965 Restomod represents vision, craftsmanship and passion the kind of car that helped define an entire movement. Subtle on the outside, radical in execution, it embodies the philosophy that would later become synonymous with the R-Gruppe spirit: lightweight, purposeful and built to drive.
On the outside, it presents itself as an immaculate Porsche 911 in classic Light Ivory, equipped with early gold lettering and all the right details of the period. Only the 16-inch aluminum racing rims betray the true character of this machine a subtle hint that beneath the elegant skin lies something much more purposeful.
The project began with one of the very earliest remaining 912s chosen not only for its rust-free condition, but also for its lightweight bodywork and sought-after early features such as the four-screw horn grilles and 64-type window frames. From there, it underwent a complete nut-and-bolt restoration, stripped to the core and rebuilt to perfection. Every part was repaired, renewed or improved with one clear goal: to fuse Porsche heritage with uncompromising performance.
Beneath the elegant exterior lies a completely redeveloped machine. The suspension has been improved with KONI components and stabilizer bars for razor-sharp handling. The braking system consists of hydraulically actuated disc brakes ventilated at the front, solid at the rear with vintage-spec Brembo calipers of the type used by Ferrari at the time. The electrical system was converted to a modern 12-volt system, including a period-correct radio and an updated wiring harness to support the more powerful powertrain.
At its core beats a true Porsche soul: a 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine from a 911 SC, equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and mated to a 1968 911S dogleg gearbox. With 132 kW of power, this transforms the car into a true sleeper modest in appearance but fierce in character.
The exterior wears its striking Light Ivory and gold details with understated confidence. Inside, the interior balances period-correct sportiness with timeless elegance. A stunning wood steering wheel with matching wood trim sets the tone, while the original black leather offers an authentic foundation. Period-correct Recaro racing seats with pepita inlays and an Autoflug racing gear finish off details that refer directly to Porsche's motorsport DNA.
Turn the key and the six-cylinder comes alive with raw energy. From that moment on, this is not just a car you drive it is a car you experience. Every shift, every turn, every echo of the exhaust reminds you that this Porsche was built to live.
Early rust-free 912 bodies are rare. A restomod done at this level with a true nut-and-bolt restoration, authentic period details, a genuine Porsche six-cylinder and such faithful respect for the bond with the driver is even rarer.
This is a car to drive, cherish and preserve.
A Porsche with a story, a philosophy and a future.
