Description

It’s not politically correct (and what better reason is there?).
– Porsche Germany

The Porsche 911 Targa is a breathtaking beauty from the beloved late 1960s era. A time when petrol stations were still plentiful, cigarettes decorated birthday tables, and hippie culture challenged the norms.

The iconic Targa roof combines the thrill of open-top driving with the sun on your head, the sleek look of the Targa bar, and the convenience of a hardtop. What makes this one special is that it is a custom-made project. The previous owner poured his heart and soul into this jewel and gave it all the attention it needed.

Let’s talk about its unique features, starting with the colour. “Wunschfarbe Kristalblau,” one of the rarest special-order colours, which Porsche only offered for a limited number of years. It is said that only about 75 (!!!) examples left the Porsche factory in Stuttgart in this colour. Restored to perfection. Everything is not only new and fresh, but also perfectly aligned. But the real excitement lies in the 3.0-litre engine. And no, this is not a cosy gathering with cheese and sausage in plastic containers, but a roaring party that will be remembered for years to come.

This stunning example is equipped with a 3.0-litre power unit featuring new high-pressure pistons combined with 6 ITBs (Individual Throttle Bodies), delivering impressive acceleration. In addition, computer-controlled fuel injection ensures optimal fuel distribution. The computer manages, via a modified wiring harness, the correct cylinder at the exact moment with the perfect amount of fuel (this is called sequential injection). All of this is controlled by sensors and, when necessary, adjusted in real time by the computer.

The party is completed with a racing flywheel and a custom gearbox for seamless “Schnell” shifting. This configuration, together with stabilisers all around, provides an unparalleled driving experience. The car clings to the throttle like a block and responds like no other to every press of the pedal. The fully stainless-steel exhaust system adds the necessary auditory cherry on top. Trust us, many onlookers will be left turning their heads.

Take a seat behind the wheel and prepare for an explosion between the class of the past and today’s technology. A win-win situation. Don’t forget to bring your wide jeans, tie-dye shirts, pilot sunglasses, and a good dose of attitude! There is still so much more to tell about this car. We would be happy to share all the details with you—see you soon?!
