A classic 911 without the, to some folk, exhausting upright clutch pedal. The 911 Sportomatic offers this comfort in combination with a high level of suppleness and sportiness. The 155bhp E-injection powered engine is rather powerful for this relatively light car. The Sportomatic gearbox was new at the time and not well-known, hence the reasons they probably did not sell too well. A shame since the gearbox does function well. A regular 911E is a rare car, which makes this Sportomatic version a true collector’s item. Prerequisite for any collector’s item is naturally an excellent condition. The body of this 911 ticks all boxes, she is solid and rust free. Additionally she remains in her original configuration; matching numbers engine and gearbox and original colour, certificate is present. The car has been resprayed in the past, evidently on a good-condition basis. The interior remains nicely original which makes the car a true time machine. Get in and it is 1970. The complete car is damage free and no severe traces of usage are apparent. The 15-inch Fuchs wheels are nice, and the lacquer remains lustrous. The rarity and quality of this classic 911E make her a suitable repository for your capital, whilst having fun at the same time. Viel vergnügen! as the Germans say.
